Eliza (Hope) Oxendale (1876)

Biography

Eliza was born in 1876^[1] in Driffield, Yorkshire, England, where she lived with her parents, Abraham Hope and Mary Holliday.^[2]

At the time of the 1891 census Eliza worked as a domestic servant for the Dixon family in Brandesburton, Yorkshire.^[3]

In 1895 she married George Robert Oxendale.^[4] The family lived in Goole, Yorkshire, in 1901. George was a railway platelayer.^[5]
