Biography
Magdalen Hope was born in 1792. She was the daughter of Sir Archibald Hope of Craighall, 9th Bt. and Elizabeth Patoun. She married John Scott, 8th of Gala, son of Colonel Hugh Scott, 7th of Gala and Isabella Monro, on 20 April 1820. She died on 13 August 1873.
From 20 April 1820, her married name became Scott.
