Biography
Earnest was born in 1875. He passed away in 1925. He was the son of Samuel Judson Hopkins (1836-1911) and Sarah Catherine Hallock (1843-1911).
He married 1st Bettina Davis, in 1901. She died in 1902, possibly in childbirth. There are no children recorded.
He married 2nd to Maude Julia Batiste Stokes (1885-1965). They had three children:
- Marcelle C. Hopkins 1908 -
- Maude Ernestine Hopkins 1910 -
- Samuel Earnest Hopkins Jr. 1913-1989
