Kathy, I should have looked a little closer. The parents of John are unknown at this time. Looking at Joshua Hopkins lll, he died in 1775 so that eliminates him. His son Joshua b.1753 in Massachusetts and died there doesn't appear to have left Massachusetts so he is probably not the father. Without a birth record for John Washington there is no way to identify his parents so they should remain empty.
