Biography
Ned Hopkins is a part of US Black heritage.
Ned was born about 1820. He passed away after 1858.
On 8 Feb 1858, Arvah Hopkins purchased the Goodwood Plantation located in Tallahassee, Leon County, Florida, from then owner, Mrs. Henrietta Smith. The property deed of purchase listed Ned (age 38) among the slaves. [1][2]
Some of the slaves in the deed may have been brought from North Carolina by one of the brothers (Hardy or Bryan).
