Nathaniel Hokins was born about the middle of March 1684 in Eastham, (then) Plymouth Colony, the son of Stephen and Mary (Merrick) Hopkins.[1]
Nathaniel and Mercy Mayo were married on 26 May 1707 in Harwich. She was born on 23 April 1688 in Hingham, the daughter of John and Hannah (Freeman) Mayo, and a descendant of Mayflower passenger William Brewster.[1]
Mercy died probably in Harwich after 25 March 1765.[1]
Nathaniel died in Harwich on 13 September 1766 in his 82nd year and was buried in the Old Cemetery in Brewster.[1]
