When visiting the cemetery in 2009 the staff were quite surprised that John Hopkins was buried in this grave in 1964. Apparently the grave was a public grave and was not 'owned' as many others were, so there should never have been a burial into the grave. Permission would not have been granted. We suspect Little John's grandfather EA Roberts may have had a hand in pulling some strings at the time.[4]
