Research Notes
Ezekiel Hopkins's will (with note also about his wife Elizabeth's will): Nellie M.C. Beaman (compiler), abstracts of wills, continued from issue to issue in The Rhode Island Genealogical Register, which was online at GenealogyLibrary as images of scanned text, Vol. 1, No. 3, JAN 1979, p. 134, Scituate wills. Beaman refers to pp. 461-62, which might be the location of the will in the original records.
Abstract of Ezekiel's will with dates written and proved, which give a bracket of time in which he died. In this same source, Vol. 1, No. 4, APR 1979, p. 212, Scituate wills (in which Beaman refers to p. 81, which might be the location of the original will in the record book) is similar information for Elizabeth, wife of Ezekiel. (ELIZABETH'S SURNAME OF BIRTH REMAINS UNKNOWN.) We know from this source that her will was written September 11, 1763, and proved May 21, 1768. She refers to her husband Ezekiel Hopkins, dec'd, and names sons Daniel, Ezekiel, Charles, and Nicholas Hopkins, all of Scituate; daughters Katherine, dec'd, and, all of Scituate, Patience Seaman, Mary Baxter, and Abigail Hopkins.

Hopkins-2371 and Hopkins-12591 appear to represent the same person because: They are the same person. The dates are from older ancestry trees that had no sources.
I proposed a merger of this profile and Hopkins-2371. They appear to be for the same Ezekiel Hopkins. While birth dates differ from one another, the birth years for two of his children, Charles (1720) and Nicholas (1722), makes the birth year of 1690 more plausible.
