Edward was born about 1706. He was the son of William Hopkins and Susannah Elliott.
On November 3, 1724 Edward paid 2000 pounds tobacco to Thomas Hopkins II (uncle) for part of "William & James" and "Hopkins Point Second Addition". [1]
Edward Hopkins appears on the 1733 Bay Hundred Talbot Census.
On January 13, 1735 Thomas & Susannah Ashcroft (mother) gave Deed of Gift "our loving son Edward" land called "Davenport", "Beach", "Elliotts Lot", and "Hopper" totaling 100 acres.
Land Record dated September 8, 1740 shows John Lenard, Lawyer paid 100 pounds current money to Edward Hopkins, carpenter for 99 acres "William & James" and "Hopkins Point Second Addition".
Edward appears on the 1748 Militia Census in Talbot County.
Edward appears on the 1760 Census living in St. Michaels, Talbot. [2]
