Biography
John Tingle Hopkinson was born before 1856. He was a son of John Hopkinson and Martha Tingle.
He married Lucy Greaves before 1881. They had seven children, three of whom died in infancy:
- Blanche Fanny Hopkinson (1881-1962), married surname Dahl
- John Edwin Hopkinson (1884-84), infant mortality
- William Benjamin Hopkinson (1884-84), infant mortality
- Martha Louisa Hopkinson (1885-)
- Winifred Greaves Hopkinson (1887-)
- Bernard Greaves Hopkinson (1890-90), infant mortality
- George Hopkinson (1891-1914)
John lost Lucy in 1893, possibly due to childbirth complications.
He passed away on 25th April 1894 at Queensland.[1] His four surviving children were aged between thirteen and two years.
