Biography

Beulah Madeline Brewster nee Hopper, a school teacher, was the daughter of Herbert Hopper, a woodsman, and her mother was Vesta Kennie of Osborne Corner, New Brunswick. She was born in 1924 at Little Rocher, Albert County, New Brunswick, and lived ant Cape Enrage until she married Leonard Charles Brewster. They were wed on the 2nd of January, 1945 in the Baptist Parsonage at Hillsborough, Albert County by the Baptist minister The Rev'd Arlington E. Wry. As she was a school teacher she was probably teaching school at Hillsborough. Witnesses were: Mrs Howard Stuart (Josephine McLeod, who is George McLeod Jr's older sister ) and Vaughan Hopper both from Cape Enrage, Albert County, New Brunswick.

When Leonard quit the seagoing for a shore job, he went to the railroad. Leonard worked for the CNR as a carman for his last employment of 15 years. Leonard died in the Moncton City Hospital after 3 months as a patient with carcinoma sigmoid, on September 28, 1964. Th is was the same illness that took his mother Ethel Mae McLeod Brewster nee Terriss.
