Between 1804 and 1816, George moved to Lincoln County Tennessee. Prior to 1819, George moved on to Blount County, Alabama. On 1 Jan 1820 an indenture was made between George Hopper of Alabama for the sum of $50 to sell to Alexander Gray land lying in Lincoln County the 2nd Dist on the head waters of Cold Water Creek a S. branch of Elk river.. was granted to the said George Hopper by the state of Tennesee no. 9044 bearing date of 15 Mar 1816.
George died in 1835. In the State of Alabam Blount County, Special Orphan's Court was begun and held in and for Blount County at the Court house in the town of Blountsville on Saturday the twenty-fourth day of September in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty six present the Honorable Patrick Scott Judge of the County Court of said County.
George Hopper having this day applied for Letters of Administration on the estate of George Hopper late of Blount County deceased. It is ordered that citations issue to Hanna Hopper widow of said George Hopper deceased to whom precendence administration belongs and to John Ratliff and Fereby Ratliff formerly Feraby Hopper to appear on Saturday the first day of October next and show cause if any they have or can show why said application should not be granted.
