Biography

When John Roy Hopwood was born on March 10, 1902, in Hopwood, Pennsylvania, his father, William, was 27 and his mother, Mary, was 22. He married Ida Pearl Dennis in 1922. They had eight children in 16 years. He died on June 10, 1965, in Uniontown, Pennsylvania, at the age of 63, and was buried in Hopwood, Pennsylvania.
