George Horder arrived Australia with his parents Thomas & Harriett 1838 "Corramandal" with 5 children. Thomas Horders brother William arrived 1838 "Corramandal" thomas Horders brother James arrived 1838 "Fairley" Thomas Horders sister Maria arrived with husband James Gurd 1840.


11-09-1863 Police court. Obscene Language. George Horder was fined 10s.or in default 7 days imprisonment for making use of obscene language.

5-11-1864. West Maitland Police Court.George Horder was convicted of obscene language in High Street on previous evening 20s.Fine

7-02-1865. Singleton Police Court. George Horder was brought up for protection From the statement from the senior Sergeant of police,It appears that he had rescued the prisoner out of the river when he was in danger of being drowned.He was almost in a state of nudity at the time and suffering from delirium tremmors.He was admonished and discharged.

9-02-1865. Maitland. Police Court. George Horder a bootmaker age 40 was brought up for protection.Supposed to be of unsound mind,Constable Parkinson stated that about 5 o'clock yesterday afternoon his attention was called to the prisoner who appeared to be under the impression that people were chasing him,and on the previous night he had tried to cut his throat.He added that he had sold his boots and then came out to South Head to spend his money and then throw himself over the cliffs,as he thought that would be easier than hanging himself.He said that he had been living in York Street and came from Penrith.After a medical examination Mr.Egan recommended medical treatment for a few days as the prisoner appeared to be suffering from melancholia and was unfit to be let at large.He was remanded until Wednesday next for medical treatment.


George Horder. Admitted Gladesville . Age 45. Prodestant. Born England. Admitted into H.L.Gladesville on 27-05-1867. Lately residing at Penrith. Delusional mania caused by temperance. On admission he was suffering from delusions of fear & suspicion.He was persecuted and annoyed by people abusing him in the streets,and in consequence of the constant annoyance had twice cut his throat slightly. He has made improvement - is subject to hallucinations of hearing.Though usually quiet & ready to make himself useful.He is at times excited & angry at his imaginary persecutors.Clean of habit and neat of dress. Patients friend Mrs Alfred Horder of Bothing Stree,Newcastle and W.T.Horder of High Street,West Maitland paid George 6d.cash on 22.4.1872

Record NO. 1175 Death Registered under George Holder 1874. Newcastle.
