Biography
Robert was born about 1799. He was possibly the son of Robert and Sarah Horn:[1]
Baptised Sunday 7 Octr. 1798 . Born 1798
Robt. Wm. Henry Sn. Robt. Horn, Gardener, Sarah - 17 Sepr.
This must be regarded as speculative, however, as a number of other baptisms of Robert Horn in the same period have been found in London during the appropriate date range:

He married Ann Griffin in Clerkenwell, St James on 25 November 1819.[5][6]
Robert Henry William Horn, Farmer (21) and his wife Ann (22) were 1820 Settlers. They came to the Cape Colony as part of WILLSON's Party[7] aboard La Belle Alliance.[8]

John Horne, b. 2 Apr 1832, Grahamstown. d. 30 Mar 1917, New Essex, Albany district (Age 84 years). Married Susanna Martha Ann Bowles. 5 Children[16]
Eliza Jane Horne, b. 16 Jan 1835, Grahamstown. d. 16 Nov 1911, Glen Bernie farm, Somerset East (Age 76 years). Married George Richard Hiscock. 12 Children.[17]

Wednesday 20 February 1867
DIED at Somerset East on the 10th February 1867, after a lingering illness, Robert HORNE. Deceased was one of the Settlers of 1820, aged 68 years. Friends at a distance will please accept of this notice.[18]
