Biography

Elijah Horn, the son of Mathew Horn and Susannah Hall was born about 1795 in Estill, Kentucky, United States. He is believed to be buried at Horn Cemetery, in Davis, Iowa. [1]

On 26 Aug 1819 Elijah Horn married Patsey Eaton in Estill, Kentucky, United States. [2]

In 1820 Elijah and family were living in Ravenna, Estill, Kentucky, United States. [3]

In 1830 and 1840 Elijah and family were living in Estill, Kentucky, United States.[4][5]

By 1850 Elijah and Patsey Horn had moved to Fabius Township, Davis, Iowa, United States. Others in their household included three of their children:

Samuel Horn, 20
Mathew Horn, 18
John Horn, 14 [6]

Patsey passed away on 7 Feb 1858 (aged 55). On 10 March 1858 Elijah Hern (Horn) married his second wife Margaret Trimble Jones in Davis, Iowa, United States. [7]

In 1860 Elijah was living in Fabius Township, Davis, Iowa, United States with his second wife Margaret and her two children from her first marriage. [8]
