Vera was born in 1922 to Wilfred Horn and Sarah McKee.[1]
She was part of the Women’s Auxiliary Air Force during World War II, where she met her future husband, who also served in the Air Force.
The couple married and had their first child in England. The family reunited after the war in British Columbia. They made their home in sunny Penticton where a further three children were born.
Vera has a love for golfing. She took in many golf trips with her husband, and later with her female friends.
She passed away in 2018.
