Jane was baptised at St Peter and St Paul, Hanborough on 17th September 1820.[1] She was the daughter of John Horn and Sarah Long. Her father stated on the baptism register that he was a carpenter.
Marriage
Joseph Coombs and Jane Horn were married at St Peter and St Paul, Hanborough on 12th May 1850.[2] They were both of full age, bachelor and spinster, and both living in Hanborough. Joseph was a labourer and the son of Joseph Coombs who was also a labourer. Jane was a gloveress and the daughter of John Horn who was the parish clerk. Neither could write so they both made their mark on the register with a cross. The witnesses to the marriage were Philip Combs and Eliza Horn,[3]
