Virginia was born in 1883 in Florida.[1] Two different marriage records show her parents are Alfred Horn and Antionette Marzyck.[2][3] Virginia married John Tavner Snelson in an unknown location but in 1918 she is listed as his next of kin.[4] In 1920, they are living in Portland, Oregon, with their 6 year old daughter, Carolyn.[5]
That marriage dissolves as Virginia Snelson marries Clarence J, Potter in December of 1925.[6] Clarence dies 29 September 1926.[7][8]
In February of 1930, Virginia J. Potter marries Clarence Herbert Platts.[9] When the census in taken in April of 1930, Virginia is living with Clarence as is her daughter, Carolyn Snelson.[10] Clarence died in 1942.[11]
Virginia Horn Platts continues to live in Multnomah County, Oregon, as evident by her voter registration in 1948[12] and 1952.[13] The 1952 registration lists the name of her parents. Virginia dies in 1965.[14][15] She is interred in the same niche as her daughter Carolyn.[16]
