William Horn / Horne was born in 1877, in Southowram, Yorkshire West Riding, England & baptised there 29th December 1878, the son of Daniel Horn & Martha Dyson.[1][2]
In December 1919, William Horne, aged 42 & his son Clarence aged 14, sailed from England on the "Saxonia" bound for Canada, disembarking at Halifax, Nova Scotia, then travelling to Fonthill, Ontario where they intended to permanently reside and take up farming. They were joined by the rest of their family in April 1920.[4]
William Horne died in 1952, and was laid to rest at Fonthill Cemetery, Fonthill, Niagara, Ontario, Canada.[5]
