William Horne & Frances Martha Hampton were married in 1896 in Edmonton, Middlesex, England.^[3]

In December 1919, William Horne, aged 42 & his son Clarence aged 14, sailed from England on the "Saxonia" bound for Canada, disembarking at Halifax, Nova Scotia, then travelling to Fonthill, Ontario where they intended to permanently reside and take up farming. They were joined by the rest of their family in April 1920.^[4]

William Horne died in 1952, and was laid to rest at Fonthill Cemetery, Fonthill, Niagara, Ontario, Canada.^[5]
