Biography
John was born in about 1813 in Broadway, Worcestershire [1]
On 7 October 1837 John married Caroline Cormell in Childswickham. [2]
In 1851 Caroline and John were living in Grafton, Warwickshire with 5 children (possibly 6 children, Matha at the end of the list is written as a daughter but aged in her 20's so either she is a daughter and the age is wrong or perhaps she is John's sister). John was a labourer. [1]
Research Note
A John Goddin Horne was baptised in Cheltenham in 1813 and died in Clifton in 1867. While both of those dates fit with the profile (his wife remarried in 1868) the locations don't. Census records indicate he was born in Broadway (although Broadway is about 15 miles from Cheltenham, John goddin's family were listed as living in Cheltenham) and lived in Worcestershire. There would be no explanation for why his death would be registered in Clifton, Bristol. Also I would expect him to use the middle name Goddin in his marriage records as well as birth and death.
