Birth of Henry Levy, 30 Nov 1878; Chicago, Cook, Illinois, United States. Son of Solomon Abraham Levy and Dila Horner.[1][2][3] He changed his surname to his mother's surname, Horner, after his parents divorced in 1883.[4]
Henry lived in Illinois.
Horner suffered a stroke four days before the November 1938 election. He spent five months recovering in Florida before returning to Illinois. He collapsed in summer 1940, and entered a convalescence without resigning as governor. He died on 6 October 1940 in Winnetka, Illinois.[7] He was buried in Zion Gardens, Inc., Chicago, Cook County, Illinois, USA.[8]
