ABRAHAM HORNING and his wife MARGARET JONES were members of the Episcopal Methodist Church.. He was a farmer (or yeoman as they called them in those days).
He and his brother ISAAC emigrated to Canada in 1787. It is thought his father PETER HORNING had visited the area in 1785, applied for a Crown Land Grant and then returned to Pennsylvania. However PETER with his wife ISABELLA and the rest of their children arrived back in Canada in 1789. (Taken from a contribution from Ancestry. )
