Louis Fredrick Hornkohl (abt. 1879 - 1961)

Louis was born in Illinois in 1879 to August G Hornkohl and Lena Walters. His father immigrated from Germany and his mother was from New York. Some official documents give his birth year as 1881, but 1879 is inscribed on his headstone, and he is on his family's 1880 Census.

Louis 's father moved the family from Illinois to the Dakota Territories by the time Louis was 6, and to Nebraska by age 11, where Louis spent the rest of his life. He married at age 38 and passed away in 1961 at 82 years old.
