Biography

MP for Dorchester, 1614 Poole 1621 and Dorset 1624.

Involved with the Freke family in an' ill-conceived project to drain the Fleet'. (The area of shallow water lying between the narrow causeway of Chesil beach and the mainland ) This bankrupted him and he is thought to have died in the Fleet Prison

The Visitation of Hertfordshire in 1634 states that Sir George Horsey of Clyfton, Dorset, and Elizabeth Freak had at least two children alive in 1634: their first son George and their second son John. ^[1]
