Thomas Horsley was born in 1711 in Sledmere on the Sykes estate in the Wolds west of Driffield.^[1]

Marriage 1756 Sledmere

Thomas Horsley may marry only when he is about 45, in Sledmere to Elizabeth Piercy though she is most likely only 24. ^{[2] [3]}

There is an earlier possible marriage for this Thomas is nearby in Wetwang (resident in Fimber) in 1729 when he would be only 18, to Emma Dale. ^[4]

There is no evidence of children from either marriage, though Thomas Horsley is not very rare as the name of a father.
