Claude Henry Horsley was born in Pontefract 1895. His parents were Albert Horsley a stationmaster born in Holme on Spalding Moor and his wife Mary Annie Precious from York.
In 1911 Albert Horsley was stationmaster at Tweedmouth in Northumberland, living in the station cottages with his wife Mary Annie and four of their children. [1]
