Peter Solomon Horton was born in 1875 in Jasper County, South Carolina to Benjamin Franklin Horton, Sr. and Amanda Jane Hudson.[1][2] He married Nelle Manuel in 1904 in South Carolina.[3][4][5][6] After Nelle's death, Peter married Mary Jane McCormack in 1945 in Jasper County, South Carolina.[7] He passed away in 1950 in Ridgeland, South Carolina and is buried in the Gillisonville Baptist Church Cemetery in Gillisonville, South Carolina.[8][9]
