Biography

Laura was born in Hagerstown, Maryland on 18 October 1875.^[1] She was the daughter of John Peter Hose and Sarah Shilling.

She married John P. Lawrence at St. Paul's Methodist Episcopal Church in Hagerstown on 17 March 1895.^[2]

She died in Hagerstown on 21 April 1931.^[3]

Obituary transcript: Mrs. Laura V. Lawrence, wife of John Lawrence, 411 Jefferson street, died at 5 o'clock Tuesday afternoon [21 April 1931] at her home from pneumonia, aged 55 years. Besides her husband, she is survived by one sister, Mrs. Bessie King, this city, and two brothers, William Hose, Harrisburg, Pa., and Roy Hose, this city. Funeral services Friday [24 April 1931] from the home at 2:30 o'clock; services at the house by Rev. Dr. F. Berry Plummer. Interment in Rose Hill cemetery.^[4]
