Biography

Robert was born in Stanberry, Missouri. He served in the US Army in England during WWII. He was separated from service on 12 February 1946 at Camp Chalfee, Arkansas. He married Lorene Good about 1941 in Missouri and had three children: Roberta, Ronnie, and Ramona. They divorced. He married Linnie Sabrina Hampton (b. NC) in Havana, Cuba around 1948. He owned and operated Bobs Highway Market in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He sponsored a baseball team, Bobs Bobcats. They divorced. Later he married Helen Tollman Pope and lived in Witchita, Kansas. He was a groundsman for Boeing Aircraft. He had a step daughter Susan Pope. They later divorced. He traveled the United States and around the world. He reunited with his first wife, Lorene Miller in 1983. He died in Emporia, Kansas in 1985.
