"Samuel Haskins married again. There are two deeds in Bristol County (Taunton) that prove [Mary's] parentage; 18:76, naming her brothers and sisters and the husbands of the latter; and 12:122, dated June 13, 1719, which shows that Mary, second wife of Samuel Haskins, left only two heirs: 'Samuel Haskins of Taunton for love and affection which I have, do bear unto my son William Haskins and to my daughter Abigail wife of Joseph Eddy... and for other good causes and reasons... forever claim quit all land and rights in Taunton or elsewhere which in anywise belonged to my deceased wife Mary who was daughter of Jonah Austin.'"[9]
Research notes
Marriage to Mary Austin
Although Clemens' American Marriage Records Before 1699 has Samuel Hoskins and Mary Austin marrying in Windsor, Connecticut,[10]The New England Historical and Geneological Register shows them marrying in Taunton.[4]
Mary Austin's date of death
Although Mary (Austin) Hoskins, Samuel's second wife, is shown in places as having died in 1718,[11] this does not appear to be true. There is a legal document from 1719[9] where Samuel Hoskins transfers the property that belonged to his deceased wife Mary to his two children by her, which is likely the source of the confusion.
Will
Although Cutter along with several other sources claim that Samuel's will, which was probated in 1732, bequeathes to wife Mary,[12] Rounds' Abstracts states that his will bequeathes to wife Mercy.[13] A study of the records has shown that the will in question does bequeathe to his wife Mercy, proving that this is a conflation of Samuel Hoskins and his son Samuel Jr. who married Mercy Cobb. The will belongs to Samuel Jr.[3]

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Samuel by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Samuel:

When I began working on this profile yesterday (7 June 2107), it, along with most of the five existing profiles for his four wives (including the one for Rebecca Brooks that you manage) had between them no real sources and very little information, just a lot of unsourced information imported from GedComs.
I have added in the information that I've found so far and made notes in the profiles regarding the conflicts in information that I have found, as per WikiTree best practices. I will continue to research the conflicting information and add updates as I find them.
Thank you for adding sources to your Rebecca Brooks profile today. It should prove quite useful in unraveling this mystery.
If you have access to the full text of Samuel Hoskin's will, please feel free to make corrections and updates directly in the profile. So far I have found an additional abstract of his will which also references his second wife with no mention of the third or fourth ones.
When Anderson (a highly respected modern researcher) disagrees with Cutter, please don't assume that Cutter (a prolific republisher of content of unknown quality that he copied from other people) is correct. Whoever Cutter copied his information from, a lot of that information was wrong. Hoskins' will describes Mary as deceased.
This profile needs some editing to eliminate the bad quotations from Cutter and clear up the assertions that Anderson must be wrong because he doesn't agree with Cutter or various online genealogies copied into Wikitree.
