I don't see that Jillaine's question from November was answered, so I "unlocked" this profile (removed PPP). PPP stands for "project-protected profile" and must be supported by a project as manager. The US Southern Colonies Project's Managed Profiles Team reviewed this profile and does not believe that it needs to be either PPP or managed by a project. If you would like the team to reconsider, please fill out the Management Request Form (see the link, here).

Thanks!

Is there any reason for continued project protection?

I think the Hoskins are pretty tough because of the fire that destroyed a lot of records. But there is some commentary which tries to link some Hoskin men together via deeds, etc. I'm pretty sure they mentioned a John. Granted.. the linkage is still unproven, given the circumstances. But it seems to go for a lot of the kids, so all things considered... :)

Dates & Events don't match up

If Dorcas Isham was born in 1587, she was 13 years older than her second husband Bartholomew Hoskins. She was also 42 years old when she married Hoskins in 1628 & had her daughter Katherine Hoskins who later married Thomas Meares. If Hoskins & Dorcas married in 1628, then how did they have a son in 1625? And another son in 1626 or 1627?

Foster-6714 and Hoskins-257 appear to represent the same person because: Same parents and dates. John was the son of Bartholomew Hoskins. Foster was the first husband of Dorcas. John was born after Bartholomew and Dorcas were married.

Robert Foster had died by the time this child was born, he is the child of his mother's second husband http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Hoskins-65
