Biography

Asam Elias Hoskinson was born 6 Mar 1856 at Blacksville, West Virginia. He was a son of Susannah (Steele; 1837-1910) and Eliam Reynolds Hoskinson (1830-1924) [1].

He married 25 Sep 1883 at Columbus, Ohio. Amanda Melvina (Alvord; 1866-1933) [2]. The following children proceeded [3]:

  1. Nettie Ursula Hoskinson (1884-1941)
  2. Earl Fletcher Hoskinson (1889-1959)
  3. Harry Elsworth Hoskinson (1891-1966)
  4. Edward Elias Hoskinson (1894-aft.1933)
  5. Katherine Elizabeth Hoskinson (1898-1987)
  6. Floyd F. Hoskinson (1902-1982)

The 1900 U.S. census record charted this family at 375 E. Jackson Street in Montgomery Township, Franklin County, Ohio [4].

Asam Hoskinson died 19 May 1903 at Columbus, Franklin County, Ohio [5]. His grave is in Greenlawn Cemetery, Columbus, Ohio Green Lawn Cemetery, Columbus, Franklin County, Ohio, USA [6].

Notes

In 1880, Asam was living with the family of George W. Fletcher in Clay, Monongalia County, West Virginia. Both Asam and George Fletcher list their occupation as physician.

Azam (sic) was listed in the 1887 and 1892 city directory of Columbus, Ohio. His occupation was listed as a physician and his address was listed as 470 S. 6th Street.
