Biography

John was born about 1797. He was the son of Jacob Hostetter and Rachel Zumwalt. He is named in the probate records of his father's estate in St. Charles County, MO in 1813.

On 6 March 1820, while residing in Pike County, MO, he sold[1] his interest in land that he had inherited from the estate of his father, Jacob Hostetter.

He passed away in Pike County, MO in 1834 where his estate was probated.
