Lt.-Col. Beaumont Hotham was born on 30 August 1768. He was the son of Beaumont Hotham, 2nd Baron Hotham of South Dalton, and Susannah Hankey.
On 20 May 1790 he married Philadelphia Dyke, daughter of Sir John Dixon Dyke, 3rd Bt., and Philadelphia Payne Horne, and left with other issue, Beaumont Hotham, Lord Hotham.
He died in August 1799.
He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the service of the Coldstream Guards.
