Biography
Marguerite Angelle Houde was born on 7 Jan 1787 and was baptized the next day in Sainte-Croix parish in Lotbinière.. She was the daughter of Joseph Charles Houde and Marie-Thérèse Rivard. Godparents at Angèle's baptism were Etienne Boisvert dit Denevers and Angelique Rivard.
At age 18 Angèle married Abraham Chartier on 20 Aug 1805 in Bécancour. There are records for six children between 1810-1824.
Angèle died at age 49 on 14 Jun 1836; she was buried two days later in Saint-Hugues parish cemetery.
