I feel confident when looking at the sum of information in my tree as well as the Y-Dna results that Chesire is my primary paternal focus of interest, even though most research has been done.
I am interested in exploring DNA information to see where it all goes. I have done the 37 but hope to expand further to narrow down leads. Also wish to explore my mothers side when possible as Eastern European records seem difficult currently.
I know my surname originates from England primarily, and have always been interested in the region. would like to collaborate with someone from that area.
Would like to find Houghs, and Huffs from England and believe I have Hough relatives in Florida from my grandfather Roy F Hough and his wife Minda
There are DNA references as well as documentation under the name McNett that shows a connection to Ireland.
Mejsak is my mothers surname but the vaiations are many. I have traced the location of my mothers side to Bolcie, which is in Poland but very near Lithuania and Russia.
Taylor is my paternal Grandmothers Surname. I have not progressed too far yet. Hope to explore this surname further.
DNA Tested
Mark Hough's DNA has been tested for genealogical purposes. It may be possible to confirm family relationships by comparing test results with Mark or other carriers of his ancestors' Y-chromosome or mitochondrial DNA. Y-chromosome DNA test-takers in his direct paternal line on WikiTree: It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share DNA with Mark:

Thanks for your note, Mark, and it looks like you are doing fine work.

Some of the profiles you have adopted are from the DeCoursey GEDCOM which was uploaded in the early days. Those are well grounded profiles but the sources didn't get included. I see that you have added sources to the profile of your great-grandmother McNett. The sources aren't showing up because of a missing references code that needs to be just below the Sources heading.

You can see an example of what is needed in her husband's biography. I also did a bit of formatting in his bio to show you what is possible. I used information from these FAQs and the sources you have attached to his profile at Ancestry:

You've got this!

Hi Mark,

Thanks for having a big heart and adopting the Orphaned Profiles. This After Adopting Orphans FAQ explains the special attention those profiles need.

Let me know if you have any questions on how to find and record sources, merge duplicates, clean up gedcom biographies, and interpret the Suggestions report. I'm here to help!
