Biography
b. around 1700,[1] d. 1774. He m. Ruth Wheelock July 20, 1720, they were married by Justice John Houghton.[2]

- Ezra, b. 7, 2, 1722 ; m. 7, 29, 1748. Dinah, dau. of Benjamin Houghton and Zermiah Moore. He, with his younger brother, Benjamin, assisted in laying out the highways in 1758.
- Abijah, b. 1723; m. 1746. Alice Joslyn, d. 6, 23, 1802. He was known as Trumpeter Abijah Houghton. He enlisted in April, 1775, and served six months as private and sergeant in Capt. Andrew Haskell's Company of Col. John Witcomb's regt. He turned out at the Lexington alarm and received both bayonet and bullet wounds.
