Female child baptised at Hamilton, Lanarkshire on 05 April 1812 but christian name not provided. The Muster Rolls for the 6th Dragoon Guards confirms that Thomas was located in Hamilton, Lanarkshire at this time.
"Thomas Houston sergeant in the 6th Dragoon Guards and Elizabeth Lees spouse had a daughter born 29 March 1812, and entered here Baptised 5 April."
This page of Hamilton OPR has both birth and baptism dates on left side of page, but the Thomas Houston entry is the only exception with these dates being at the end of the text. As neither Thomas nor his spouse were Hamilton parishioners this MAY explain the word 'entered'.
Child's baptism fits with daughter Elizabeth.
Elizabeth remained unmarried.
1879: Recorded as a 67 years old Pauper formerly a Domestic Servant at time of death. Parents recorded as Thomas Houston, a Soldier, and Elizabeth Lees. Death registered by Andrew, Inspector of Poor, Ochiltree.
