Note: The use of the word "room" is the archaic use of the word which meant place or stead.

On 1 September 1742, Henry and Esther Glasford provided an account for the estate of Samuel. Henry may have been related to the wife of Samuel's brother James, assuming the James who married Mary "Crasford" was Samuel's brother. Esther Glasford appears to have been Samuel's wife who married Henry Glasford after the death of Samuel.

Samuel states he was a farmer and his wife's name was "Ester", and his mother's name Martha, his father Christopher having preceded him in death. Samuel did not have any children and those listed were his siblings, nephews and in-laws. The Christefer (Christopher) and James Houston are not Robert's children as they had not been born. This infers Samuel may have had a brother who preceded him in death.

It is to be noted Samuel never states Robert, Christopher, James, Ann, Jeanette, Martha and Margaret were his children. To state they were is only an assumption and one needs to compare Samuel's will with Christopher's will. The comparison indicates Robert, Ann, Jeanette, Martha and Margaret were Samuel's siblings, and Christopher and James his nephews.
