James D. Howard, son of Benjamin and Lucinda (Bryan) Howard was born about 1844 in Georgia. He appeared on the census of 21 Oct. 1850 in the home of his parents at Marion County, Tennessee.[1]
He was a farm laborer when he and Emily appeared on the census of 8 Aug. 1870 at Marion County, Tennessee.[3] He was a farmer when he and Emily appeared on the census of 7 June 1880 at Jackson County, Alabama.[4] He was a farm laborer working out when he and Emily appeared on the census of 11 May 1910 at Marion County, Tennessee.[5]
James died in 1915 and was buried at New Hope Cemetery, New Hope, Marion County, Tennessee. His memorial has the years of his birth and death.[6]
