Lucy Elizabeth was born September 28, 1859 in Georgia to father Geo J. Howard and mother Maria Goldsmith.^[1]

She was noted as born 1860 in Georgia as seen in the image of the original census. Lizzie Howard was enumerated at Decatur Post Office, Decatur District, DeKalb County, Georgia for the June 23, United States Census, 1870. She was noted as born 1858-1859 in Georgia and at home. Mrs. Lucy Elizabeth Candler died in Atlanta, DeKalb County as recorded of her February 22, 1919 Georgia Death.^[1]

Lucy Elizabeth Howard is listed as the mother in the Valdosta, Lowndes County October 2, 1936 Georgia Death of son William Beall Candler. The father was listed as Asa G Candler.^[8]
