Jane Howard was born and baptised on the 10 Jun 1832 at Royston, Barley, Hertfordshire, England.[1][2] Jane Howard was the daughter of George Howard and Sarah Winton.
Jane Howard married Abraham Bright on 25 Jun 1853 in Royston, Barley, Hertfordshire.[3][4][5] They had six children during their marriage.
On the 10 Mar 1855 Jane and Abraham departed from Plymouth, Devon, England on the s.s. 'Ravenscraig', as assisted emigration passengers.[8] They arrived 24 Jun 1855 at Geelong, Victoria, Australia, and went to work for a Mrs Myles on the Melbourne Road. Abraham's occupation is recorded as Agricultural Labourer.
The family settled in Scotsburn, near Buninyong, Victoria, Australia.
