Biography

Abiah Howard was born 21 April 1733 in Bridgewater, Massachusetts, the daughter of Joshua Howard (b. 1696) and Susanna Hayward (b. 1699). Both of Abiah’s parents were born in Bridgewater, MA. Abiah’s parents Susannah and Joshua married on 6 May 1724 in West Bridgewater, Massachusetts. They had children: Anne, 1725; Thankful, 1727; Joshua, 1730; Abiah, 1733; Martha, 1735; Matilda, 1737; and Oliver, 1740. [1]

Abiah Howard, daughter of Joshua Howard, was Christened in West Bridgewater, Plymouth, Massachusetts on 30 April 1738 (probably 1733. Possible error in transcription). [2]

Abiah married Captain Benjamin Williams in Easton, MA on 17 September 1761. They had children: Abigail, Matilda, Oliver, Benjamin, Joshua, And Rodolphus Howard Williams. [3] [4]
