Levi had several occupations during his life. Along with being a fireman as a young man,

he also owned and operated various businesses through the years. Early in his adult life, Levi bought a truck and began hauling gravel for the county roads in Cooke, County, Texas.
[7] Throughout most of his life, Levi owned his own farms, running a dairy - as well as buying, selling, and raising cattle. In later times, Levi and Edith owned and operated a local restaurant in Springtown, Texas. That restaurant, Howard's Cafe, was a popular stop for truck drivers, travelers, and local people in Springtown, Texas in the late 50s through the 60s
Death and Burial
Levi passed away on November 4, 1970 in Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas, and is buried in the Springtown Cemetery in Springtown, Parker County, Texas, close to the where the Howard's Cafe used to stand.
