Biography
Richard, son of John Howard and Ann Ball of Blowick, was born 27 May 1802 and baptized 20 Jun 1802 in North Meols, Lancashire.[1]
Richard married Ann Rimmer in Halsall in 1830.[2]
In 1841, Richard was living in Halsall with his wife Ann and son Nathan.[3] Their neighbours included Richard's father John Howard (1775-) and brother William Howard (1806-1887).
In 1851, Richard was an agricultural labourer at East Bank Lane in North Meols, living with his wife Ann, son Nathan, and niece Ann Howard.[4]
In 1861, Peter was an agricultural labourer at Howard's Terrace, North Meols with his wife Ann and father-in-law Peter Rimmer.[5]
On 17 Dec 1864, Richard remarried to Grace Caldwell.[6]
In 1871, Richard was working as a gardener and living at Southbank Road with his wife Grace.[7]
The will with a codicil of Richard Howard, gardener, who died 1 Oct 1878 at Southport, was proved at Liverpool by Grace Howard, widow, and son Nathan Howard, builder.[8]
