Biography
When Mary Maria HOWE was born on May 6, 1816, in Barnstaple, Devon, England, her father, John, was 36, and her mother, Elizabeth, was 29. She married John ATKINS on October 16, 1837, in Braunton, Devon, England. They had nine children in 13 years. She died on November 27, 1851, in Putnam, Ontario, Canada, at the age of 35, and was buried there.
