I've been working on this line for many years, and getting nowhere, but lately we're making progress. There's a hole in the Rowlsons ... I think I know who the common ancestor was, but there's a line that hasn't been identified yet ... Wilson's line has been given, but his brother Phineas' line hasn't.

RESEARCH: 7/28/2007 > > I too am a descendant of this couple. > > Have you had good luck tracing your Howe linage. > > I would like to compare notes if your are willing. > > Rich from Nebraska Sure am willing....but I need to get some sleep I have been up canning fruit for 3 or 4 days now just finished the last canner and waiting to bring the juice to a boil to put in jars. Then I am done with plums. Time to pick the pears and the berries again never ending summer stuff getting ready for winter (That is what I was told of Vermonters). I descend from Duliannie Howe who married James Alexander Norton. Their oldest daughter is my third great grandmother who married at 15 years and had 4 children before she turned 20 years of age.

I just ordered the Daniel Wait Howe books from Higginson. Few of my line here in Oregon are the least bit interested in the women who married into the King line. I am they were for the most part hard working strong women the men were good providers but if it wasn't for those women picking their husbands the men probably wouldn't have figured out which way was up.

Daniel
