Howe-12666 and Howe-2232 appear to represent the same person because: John Howe; son of Robert Howe, was baptized 04 Dec 1558 at Saints Peter and Paul-Lavenham, Suffolk and he later named a son after his father: Robert Howe bp. 09 Mar 1594/5 at St. Mary-Bury St. Edmunds, Suffolk.

The surname Howe, and only Howe, was used in his baptismal record and in legal inheritance disputes filed against his widow Margery (Lonsdale) Howe on 15 Jul 1609 and later on 24 Jul 1633.
