Abigail Howe was born about 3 October 1765 in Boston, Middlesex, Massachusetts Colony. She went to Nova Scotia, and on 10 July 1791 married Alexander Allen. The marriage bond is dated 6 July 1791 with John Howe as one of the sureties. Abigail bought the property adjoining the house of her father, Joseph Howe, tin plate worker on Marshall Lane in Boston, Middlesex, Massachusetts. The deed was recorded in the Suffolk County Register of Deeds at Boston, dated 28 June 1792. Abigail and Alexander had eight children born between 1792 and 1808.
